Get "SPOTTED" in Denim

Tired of your same old blue jeans? Change it up with some fierce prints! Celebs from Mandy Moore to Heidi Klum have been "spotted" wearing animal print denim. Here is some inspiration...

CurrentElliot leopard jeans.
You can have these for around $200..

Mandy Moore keeps it simple with ballet flats and a grey tee.

Notice none of these looks are to over the top. Be sure and keep it simple! Grey, white, and black would be your best bet for pants like these. If you are feeling adventurous, mix your patterns (stripes or geometric shapes would go great!)

Check out Urban Outfitters to find a pair of your own "spotted" denim!
(click on the words "urban outfitters" above)
They have pairs ranging from $58-$66!

What do you all think of this trend?
I think it is a great, fun alternative to everyday denim! Try it out!

Q & A

I had a question about my maxi skirt post from a couple days ago :)

The Question: How can a petite girl wear a maxi?

The Answer:
Easy! Being on the short side might pose a problem for most types of jeans, skirts, dresses, etc...but a maxi skirt has no "rule" as to where it should hit on the leg (of course it should be below the knee, hints the name "maxi") This skirt looks good at any length, so it will work on any height!
Here are some examples:

This look proves that a maxi skirt is an awesome option no matter the length. Great for showing off those edgy booties you have in your closet.

All of these options would be great for a petite girl!
Tip 1: Wear your maxi high on your waist. This will make your legs look a mile long!
Tip 2: Add any shoe with a heel to give extra height, also to show off your awesome shoe collection!

Now wear that maxi skirt like you are 6 feet tall!

Maxi Skirt Madness...

Hi dolls! I have had a major case of maxi skirt madness lately. We have seen these skirts everywhere from the runway to the streets of Hollywood, but maybe wonder if we ourselves can pull it off... I am here to give inspiration and show you how to do it and where to get 'em for an awesome price!

Love this simple black maxi skirt with a button up tied at the waist. The top gives the outfit balance. Great for fall and cooler weather. Simple and Gorgeous. (glasspenny.blogspot)

All of these demonstrate how adorable a maxi skirt is for summer, add a flirty tank or a summer scarf and you are set! Don;t add too many accesories, though...keep it fun and simple. (stylehop.com)

This is another great option for fall...booties, a belt, & a hat. Simple enough. Chic enough. (stylehop.com)

This is a look I am not a fan of. The shirt is just to boxy and big! Make sure you keep it balnced! Wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you ;)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hey Y'all!

So, I have had this idea running around in my head for a while and decided to make it a reality. I love anything that has to do with fashion or interior design, and get major inspiration from high end blogs & websites. However...I, as well as many of you, do not have the money to get all the wonderful things I would love to have. So comes "Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget". I am going to show you how to get the best things for the best price, whether it be through do it yourself projects, awesome websites, or local shops! I can't wait to start posting so stay tuned! :)

XoXo,
Meg :)
